The Taree riverbank is always an ideal place to watch the pyrotechnic displays, with plenty of entertainment planned to make it bigger and better this year.
As well as the highly anticipated fireworks at 9pm, there’ll also be rides and live entertainment along Manning River foreshore kicking off at 6pm.
This year’s festivities have been organised by local entertainer Jim Bird, with the help of Greater Taree City Council and Jim said he’s enjoyed putting the event together.
“It has been really exciting putting all the pieces together for this year’s celebrations,” he said.
“We trust that everyone will enjoy the fireworks, entertainment and other activities we have in store.
“We hope everyone can come down and get a spot along the foreshore, it’s going to be a great night, so bring your picnic gear, chairs and join in the fun.”
The live entertainment will include local bands and performers for everyone to enjoy, as well as rides and fun for the whole family.
Lanis Caravan Park at Old Bar is also getting into the spirit of NYE with its own fireworks display planned for 9pm.
The fun and festivities continue on January 1, with big plans for Harrington’s annual John Gollan Day celebrations.
Enjoy lots of family fun and activities at the Harrington festival on New Year’s Day, including a model train exhibition, entertainment with Music by the Sea, great food and drinks and browse the market stalls too.
But don’t forget to hang around for the awesome evening fireworks from 9pm, a must-see.
