IT has taken nearly two and a half years, but Gloucester parkrun will celebrate its 50th event on Saturday, May 21.
"We've had to pause a few times due to COVID restrictions and two floods,'' event director Jen Sage said.
"So we thought we'd mark the occasion with a small celebration at the event.
"We are asking park runners and walkers to celebrate by wearing something gold (a take on the theme for 50th anniversaries). We'll also reflect on the various volunteers who kicked parkrun off in our community and have kept it going until now.''
