"We've had to pause a few times due to COVID restrictions and two floods,'' event director Jen Sage said.
"So we thought we'd mark the occasion with a small celebration at the event.
"We are asking park runners and walkers to celebrate by wearing something gold (a take on the theme for 50th anniversaries). We'll also reflect on the various volunteers who kicked parkrun off in our community and have kept it going until now.''

A total of 17 runners contested the 49th run last Saturday.
This was won by Steve Atkins in 26.44. Three runners, Edward Charlier, Ruth Johnson and Steve Robinson recorded personal best times.
Saturday's run will start at the usual time of 8am at Gloucester Park.
Parkruns are also held at Forster and Taree.
