Just take away the unwanted parking spaces with huge cement pots with trees in them - a really great idea, now we have beautified the street and reduced parking.

I believe the money spent on this space saver would have been better spent on at least filling in all the potholes in all our streets especially Deb Street. I happened to drive down there today and could not dodge a hole in the whole block.

Taking these parking places to my way of thinking is very unintelligent. Maybe a few more disabled parking places in Manning Street would have been more sensible. Maybe our council members don't drive down the streets, maybe they fly along in hovercrafts bought with the money allocated for repair of our streets.

I will admit the flowers pots on the footpath do look very nice - but that's all we needed.

I hope the new council will be more productive towards this problem.

So pleased to see Alan Tickle is standing again - all the previous years he was on council I felt he at least tried to get the right things done for the benefit of Taree.
