Hunt Hospitality has a stable of six pubs along the coast of NSW, one of them being the Harrington Hotel, which he purchased earlier this year.
The other pubs the third generation publication owns are the Kent Hotel in Newcastle, the Imperial Hotel in Maitland, the Seabreeze Hotel in Nelson Bay, Finnian's Tavern in Port Macquarie, and the Ocean View Hotel in Urunga.
The Outstanding Business Leader Award "recognises an inspirational business leader aged 36 or over who demonstrates outstanding entrepreneurial spirit, strategic business direction and innovative ideas, whilst providing leadership to the new generation," NSW Business says.
According to the NSW Business Awards website, Stephen Hunt won the because he "blends entrepreneurial spirit with community to create the heart of a good business."
In addition to owning the six venues, Hunt Hospitality created Shoeless Jack, an innovative system to train and educate people in the hospitality sector.
