The club is asking team captains to discuss with players and contact the club so numbers can be determined. Due to the late start the competition will break for Christmas then return earlier next year.
It is planned to run four rounds from Friday, December 3 until December 23. Matches would resume on Friday, February 3 and run until February 24.
"Due to COVID restrictions we have been unable to start our regular summer touch comp. However, as of December 1, NSW Touch has informed that unvaccinated players can take part," a club committee member said.
The competition will run for juniors and seniors.
On Monday, October 25 Taree Touch Association held round one for the junior and senior touch comp.
To make up for the lost weeks the association has decided to continue playing into next year. Usually grand finals are played just before Christmas.
