"She is a hard worker and rides well," Milligan said.
McDonnell was on his three-year-old filly Vicky's One ($5.50), named after his wife, which scored by a half-length at Taree on Friday.
"I put Vicky's name on the horse as a joke and when she found out she was upset as it might turn out no good.
"But by the way it won its maiden I think the filly will get up to 1600m and could be very handy," he said.
Vicky's One was bought for $6000 as a yearling...about six months after some other owners paid $8000 for it as a weanling.
McDonnell is being snapped up by a wide range of trainers, her winners in the last week being not only being for Glen but also Taree's Jim Louizos at Port, Tas Morton with Krambach Cup winner Mister Smartee from Port, as well as Glen with Paavo at the Port track, and Jeremy Sylvester and Michael O'Neill at Wauchope.
