WINGHAM cricketer Maitlan Brown will make her debut with the Sydney Sixers in the opening round of the WBBL|07 against Melbourne Stars on Thursday at Blundstone Arena in Hobart.

An opening bowler, Brown switched to the Sixers this season after previously playing with Melbourne Renegades. She has been with the Renegades since the second season of the WBBL.
The 24-year-old made 59 appearances for Melbourne, taking 44 wickets at 26.64 with an economy rate of 6.84. She scored 220 runs at an average of 10 with 33 her best performance with the bat.
She has made a full recovery from a hamstring injury that ended her last campaign with the Renegades.
Brown was selected in the Australian squad for the recent multi-format series against India, but didn't feature in any of the matches.
Thursday's game will be live on Channel 7, Fox Cricket and Kayo.
