Hunter New England Health (HNEH) have recorded six new COVID cases in the Mid Coast Local Government Area (LGA) in the 24 hours to 8pm last night (Thursday, October 7).

Of the six cases in the Mid Coast LGA:
- Three in Taree
- Two in Nabiac
- One in Minimbah
As well, two local exposure sites have been named:
| Nabiac Hotel, Nabiac
- Wednesday 29 September from 4pm and 5.25pm
- Friday 1 October from 5.05pm and 6.40pm
| The Royal Hotel, Taree
- Friday 1 October from 6:40pm - 7:10pm
A total of 97 new cases were recorded in Hunter New England Health (HNEH) district (including the six Mid Coast cases), taking the total number in the current outbreak to 1532.
There are currently 1014 active cases. Thirty of those are being cared for in hospital and four are in ICU.
A vaccination clinic operated by Manning Base Hospital has been moved to the former Nita Reed Dialysis Centre cottage at 56 Chatham Avenue, Taree.
The clinic will be operating a Super Sunday vaccination push on Sunday, October 10 from 10am to 2pm. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins will be allowed, however will take longer.
