The practice has 600 doses available to be given on the day, however has only received bookings for less than half that amount.
"We thought we'd be booked out in five minutes. The first hundred went in minutes, now it's really slowed down," practice manager Donna Croker said.
As of Monday morning (September 27), they are not even half booked, meaning there are still more than 300 doses up for grabs.
The slow take up has left clinic staff bemused.
"I'm finding people are still saying "I can't get one", Donna said. "Yet we have plenty."
Bookings are available for anybody aged 12 to 59 years old. Bookings must be made beforehand through HotDoc - either through the HotDoc app or at www.hotdoc.com.au/medical-centres/wingham-NSW-2429/wingham-family-health-clinic/doctors. Scroll down to find the right date and choose an appointment. The clinic at the Showground will be operating from 9am to 11.30am.
When booking you must ensure you fill out the form.
A vaccination will not be provided without a booking, so don't turn up on the day without a booking expecting to be vaccinated.
The Wingham Show Society will be opening their canteen on the morning to provide bacon and egg rolls and coffee.
