It has been confirmed by Hunter New England Health (HNEH) that the COVID case in Possum Brush:
- was not infectious in the community and,
- they are currently isolating and there is currently no concern regarding community transmission.
Earlier:
Hunter New England Health (HNEH) has confirmed today (Thursday, September 23), a new COVID case in Possum Brush located in the Mid Coast Local Government Area (LGA).
It is unaware if the case was infectious in the community, with updates from NSW Health expected to come.
There are a total of 41 COVID cases confirmed in HNEH district, the health service said.

NSW Health sends a text message to people who have checked in at close contact venues with further information, HNEH said.
"We also make a follow-up call to close contacts to discuss the isolation and testing requirements. If you have not received a text message, please call 1800 943 553," HNEH said.
