Belgium remain the best team in the world according to the rankings published by global football governing body FIFA while England moved up to third.
The latest update includes the September triple header of World Cup qualifiers and saw Belgium stay top of the pile ahead of Brazil.
England skipped World Cup holders France by a place while Italy, who beat England in the final of Euro 2020, remain fifth ahead of South American champions Argentina.
Portugal jumped neighbours Spain into seventh, Mexico stayed ninth and Denmark entered the top 10 after the United States tumbled three places to 13th.
Iran are now the best-ranked Asian side in 22nd with Australia in 32nd.
Senegal are the strongest African nation and New Zealand are the highest Oceania team in 121st.
The next rankings are published October 21.
