Association president Michael Steinmetz said he will meet with Mr Bromhead as soon as practicable to try and get some answers, while the association will also contact Cricket NSW.
Senior cricket is usually underway from the weekend after the October long weekend.
However, NSW deputy premier John Barilaro said last week no community sport will be allowed in the State until the 80 per cent vaccination rate has been met. Mr Barilaro expects this to be around mid-November.
Newcastle District Cricket Association this week announced their season won't get underway until at least November 6.
Manning Cricket met this week to discuss the matter
"There's a lot of unknowns,'' Mr Steinmetz said.
"We don't have a starting date and we don't know how long our season will run for. And we don't know what happens to the players who aren't fully vaccinated - whether they're allowed to play. It's all a bit confusing a the moment.''
The association had planned to begin games from Saturday, October 9. Working on a possible November 6 start, that would still mean five rounds would be lost. The date for Manning Cricket's grand finals are usually determined by when Easter falls. Next year Good Friday will be April 15.
Mr Steinmetz said clubs are reluctant to take registrations until there is some clarity about the length of the season. There's also some doubt as to when practice sessions can start.

He added it will be up to the clubs to vote on the format of the season when a starting date is determined.
"We'll be trying to squeeze as many games in as possible, although how we do that will be up to the clubs to decide,'' Mr Steinmetz said.
This could include programming more T20 fixtures or making an earlier-than-usual return from the Christmas/New Year break. Mr Steinmetz said playing some additional fixtures on a Sunday hasn't been discussed.
The association will have to go into recess after the round of games on Saturday, December 18.
