"Come in sandy hair, salty skin and thongs and have a drink," surf club president Jane Lynch says.
The clubhouse will upgrade to bi-fold doors to allow patrons access to an expanded balcony area.
"We have got an amazing new veranda that we are going to have for 'Sunday Sippers,' so we will need volunteers for our bar," club member Kasey Brown said.
The club renovations include an expanded gym, new roof top seating and bar area, new toilet facilities, and a renovation to the main clubhouse area.
The gym is included in the renovations, however members of the community who want to use it in the meantime can contact the club to organise a membership.
Stage 1 is getting close to being completed, according to president Jane.
Nippers registrations will be reassessed in October with advice from the NSW Government regarding community sport, Jane said.
