The support has become available after TUC introduced Gemma Death, who has recently been appointed as education student support officer for TUC student teachers.
"Gemma will play a key role in developing a community of learning and development for the TUC education students by providing discipline specific support, both face to face, and in flexible delivery group sessions," TUC campus coordinator, Marlo Slavin said.
Gemma's appointment aligns with the University of New England expansion of the Bachelors of Education offered through its partnership with Taree Universities Campus.
She has mentored beginning teachers as a deputy principal and previously worked in a teacher educator and instructional leader role building the capacity of teachers.
UNE teaching courses commence for part-time students from the third trimester, on Monday October 25, allowing interested students to start their degrees online this year, and receive specific support on their study journey from Taree Universities Campus.
