Last week motorists travelling though and around Tinonee have been now advised to drive carefully as large signs have been painted on the Bucketts Way coming from Taree, Manchester Street near the local Tinonee Memorial School of Arts Hall and on the Tinonee to Wingham Road near Rosedale Estate, with a picture of a koala and the wording 'caution, koalas'.
Let us the humans take note and the koalas do to and keep safe.
Out of lockdown
Yipee was the sound from many folk and friends when the government announced early Saturday morning that MidCoast Council local government area was able to come out of lockdown. It certainly put a lot smiles on people's faces and the weather was just perfect for taking a short drive into town to get groceries or medical supplies and I even got to see my Aunt for a few hours.
Lets hope everyone does the right thing and we can keep this relaxation of conditions with us.
Return of church services
Relaxation of COVID lockdown has allowed members of Wingham Anglican Parish to resume weekly services with St Matthew's holding their 10am service on Sunday last and St Luke's will hold their first one back on Thursday at 9.30am with the current restrictions of mask wearing, sanitizing, Ssgn in and social distancing and no singing in force. Rev Brian Ford will lead the services.
Historical Society
Tinonee Historical Society's museum is hoping to re-open this week after several weeks of lockdown. Thanks to those members who checked on the premises and grounds during the shut down.
School is back
Students return to the classroom this week - no doubt they and their parents are happy about this, and then it is school holidays from September 18 to October 5 as it includes the October long weekend.
Let us hope the weather is great and they can all do well and get back to normality and term four without more disruptions.
