"As our State experiences extended restrictions, access to additional open spaces is more important than ever, especially for those living in densely populated communities," she said.

"Since our school is at the heart of our community, we will be participating in a program called Share Our Space to offer you an additional outdoor area to conduct essential exercise without having to leave our local government area, during the upcoming school holidays.

"Our school has open, green spaces much like a public park and during the school holidays we hope that it can help you stay physically active.

"Where do you need to go?

"Please look out for our Share our Space sign which will indicate the area of the school that can be used," she said.

"Our grounds will be open from Monday, September 20 to the final Friday of the school holidays, including weekends from 8am to 5pm."

The Share Our Space program complies with NSW COVID-19 public health advice.

"We acknowledge that a number of local area restrictions apply and encourage everyone to adhere to the restrictions outlined for their LGA and follow the NSW Government's Public Health Orders and restrictions." the principal said.

"We encourage you to visit the Share Our Space website for further information.

"Seeing as we do not have any footpaths in our community this could be a much safer and nicer place to walk around."

The NSW Government is helping kids get creative with the new Creative Kids program. Maybe this could be something that parents can utilise during the school holidays,

Parents, guardians and carers can apply for a voucher with a value of up to $100 per calendar year for each student aged 4.5 to 18 years old enrolled in school.

The voucher may be used with a registered activity provider for registration, participation and tuition costs for creative arts, speech, drama, dance, digital design, coding, and music lessons and activities.

The voucher can be used at any time during the calendar year it was issued.

To use the voucher, give the details to your registered activity provider. The program runs year-round, so kids can get creative at any time.

The team at MidCoast Council Libraries is still encouraging the community to borrow books, despite the doors being closed.

The libraries introduced Click and Collect in 2020, making it easier than ever to borrow in a COVID safe way. After a brief suspension the service is back up and running and proving very popular.

To access the Click and Collect service, members simply complete an online form with reading/viewing preferences, staff will make selections and borrowers will be notified when their order is ready for collection.

"Click and Collect allows library members to enjoy the collection in a more accessible and convenient way and it's completely free! They have online Click and Collect forms for adults, kids, teens and HSC students, so everyone can access this fabulous service," explained libraries manager Chris Jones..
