This is an unfair tax on solar homes.
Big coal and gas generators do not have to pay for pumping electricity into the network.
Rooftop solar benefits all energy consumers by providing cheap, local energy to the grid which brings down the costs for all consumers. We should be encouraging more rooftop solar - not attaching penalties to this environmentally friendly energy source.
State governments can still stop this, and I would support my energy minister in blocking this unfair attack on solar.
