* South Australia will continue to monitor emerging COVID-19 cases in Sydney and is not yet ready to lift restrictions for travellers from Melbourne, Premier Steven Marshall says.

* SA has banned people who visited virus exposure sites in NSW from entering the state and has asked people who arrived before the ban to quarantine for 14 days and get three virus tests.

* There have been 6,360, 666 doses administered in the national COVID-19 vaccination rollout up to Thursday, including 141,336 in the previous 24 hours.

* Of the total, 3,823,767 have been administered by the Commonwealth (an increase of 78,235 in the previous 24 hours).

* 3,411,932 have been issued in primary care (+75,235) and 411,835 in aged and disability facilities (+2970 in previous 24 hours).

* 2,536,899 have been administered by the states and territories, including 63,101 in the previous 24 hours.

* 868,512 have been administered in Victoria (+18,149), 648,926 in NSW (+17,030), 406,087 in Queensland (+14,485), 232,372 in Western Australia (+4549), 170,440 in South Australia (+4947), 91,525 in Tasmania (+1232), 69,198 in the ACT (+1220) and 49,839 in the NT (+1489).

AUSTRALIAN CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:

* Australia reported three new local coronavirus cases on Friday, two in NSW and one in Victoria. There were seven new overseas-acquired cases in hotel quarantine: One in Victoria, three in Queensland and three in South Australia.

* The national death toll is 910: Victoria 820, NSW 56, Tasmania 13, WA 9, Queensland 7, SA 4, ACT 3 (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).
