Bob spoke about his role, the role of the network in supporting the 64 U3As which operate currently in NSW and various issues associated with good governance of U3As.
The Manning Valley U3A's new management committee was inducted. President is Richard Coleman, secretary Heather McLaughlin, treasurer Eileen Parr and committee members, Robyn Neufeld, Lorne Henry and Paul Addison.
Reports were received from the retiring office bearers about U3A's operations since October last year
Also at the meeting the existing constitution was repealed and replaced with a new one which is an update based on Fair Trading's 'model constitution'. This allows more flexibility in the group's day to day operations.
