Kathryn is the reigning club champion, winning the last event conducted by the club by the narrowest of margins from Rob.
The Sweegers only recently joined the club and both have impressive records in target shooting.
Last year's shoot was cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions.
However, a clash with the Australian championships being conducted in Queensland will impact.
The NRAA announced on its website six months ago that the titles would be held on the June long weekend for the first time.
"A lot of A-graders will be going to the nationals, not only for the chance to win a championship, but also because this is part of the selection process for Australian teams,'' Wingham Rifle Club committee member Christina Adams said.
She described the decision as 'disappointing' for the time-honoured Wingham shoot.
"People use the shoot to get out into regional NSW. They stay in Wingham and book out most of the accommodation in the area,'' Christina said.
In 2019 the club attracted 110 entries for the event.
"We'll be happy to get around 70 this year,'' Christina explained.
However, she added this will give B and C-grade shooters the opportunity to shine. Practice will be today with the event-proper getting underway on Saturday morning and concluding on Sunday afternoon.
