Manning Valley U3A celebrates 'learning for life' with some new courses such as, Folk Circle, Indonesian Songs and French for Beginners which are now underway.

Folk Circle meets on Friday mornings in Taree where there is a good mix of instruments played from violins, tin whistle, banjo, ukulele to percussion including washboard, bodhran, shakers, the saw and more.
Everyone can sing along with some numbers or just listen. Course leader Val provides words, sheet music and chord charts for some songs for the whole group to play. Participants who wish to perform do so in a low-key concert as part of the weekly class.
Another new U3A course is Indonesian Songs. A variety of instruments are used by course members.
On the language side of things, the course French for beginners welcomes an enthusiastic group of members to this new U3A course.
