People taking part in the rescheduled 2021 Port Macquarie Memory Walk and Jog will walk, jog or run around Westport Park anytime between 8am and 4pm on Sunday.
The event provides a great way to get active and help beat dementia by completing whatever distance you choose and at a time that suits you.
The Port Macquarie event, originally planned for March, was postponed due to severe weather conditions.
Dementia Australia would like to thank all those registered to participate who have committed to continuing to support the event on the new date.
Funds raised through the Memory Walk and Jog series help provide invaluable support, education and resources for people living with dementia in Australia, their carers, families and friends.
There are an estimated 4700 people living with dementia in the federal electorate of Cowper.
With that figure projected to increase to about 5,900 by 2058, events like the Memory Walk and Jog play an important role not only in funding support but also in raising awareness of dementia.
There is still time to register for the Port Macquarie Memory Walk and Jog.
More information is available at the Memory Jog and Walk website.
A robust COVID-safe plan has been tailored for each individual event in the series.
