The club had received around 20 entries earlier in the week.
"And a lot of drivers leave it to the last minute,'' club officials Kristy Budden said.
Drivers from Newcastle, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour are expected to take part as well as those from the home club. This will be the first opportunity for drivers to test the new surface at the track. The club received a State government grant last year to complete work, which Kristy said was long overdue.
Practice will run from 9am to 11am tomorrow with racing from 11am to around 5.30pm.
This will also be the first round of the club championship. The championship will be conducted over seven rounds.
Five new club members were cleared to drive following testing last weekend and they're expected to make their competition debut tomorrow.
The club will also host the third and last round of the Northern Zone series in August, while the biggest meeting on the calendar will be the Dave Hamnett in early December.
Spectators are encouraged to come and have a look at the action, where entry is free.
