Manning Valley University of the Third Age (U3A) is back again for Term 2, 2021 offering more courses and activities for the retired/semi-retired over 50 age group.

Courses cover a range of subjects at low cost and vary in length from two to nine classes.
The diverse range of courses for the second term include Philosophy, Cryptic Crosswords, Social Craft, Tai Chi, Time Traveller, Page to Stage, Art in the Gallery, Open Forum, Introduction to Buddhism, Just Read, French for Beginners and Write Now. Also returning this term are Acrylic Pour Art, Let's Walk, Understanding the Internet and Yoga.
In term one, the popular ukulele groups and the Silver Tones Choir made a welcome return, limited by various restrictions but now lifted. These are available again in the coming term.
Term 2 new courses are Folk Circle, French comprehension and writing and Indonesian songs. There are no entry requirements to do courses. There are no tests, exams, or other forms of assessment.
U3A's motto, 'Learning for Life!' sums up the rewards for being a part of Manning Valley U3A. These rewards include mental stimulation, physical activities, social interaction, learning new skills and enjoyment.
Most courses are held at the Manning Uniting Church, whilst others are at the Manning River Sailing Club, Manning Regional Art Gallery and Church of Christ.
Many new and old members were welcomed in Term 1 but there is a place for you this term. However, maximum course enrolment numbers apply.
Term 2 courses will start on April 26 and finish on June 25.
Enrolment in these will be possible from Tuesday, April 13 to Thursday, April 22, using 'myU3A' which allows personal online registration for membership and course enrolment from home computers and other devices.
An enrolment support morning will be held on Thursday, April 15 from 10 am to noon for those without computer and internet access at Manning Uniting Church in Albert Street, Taree.
