Chopper tailor and whiting have been caught from the southern parts of Crowdy Beach. The tailor are mainly taking bait in the estuary.

There's plenty of fish along the walls at the Manning Point spur.
Yabbies, mullet strips and mullet gut are the best baits fished with a small sinker in the hours either side of high tide.
At low tide the dirty water is coming down the river but when the tide rises to full, much clearer ocean water moves up the river.
Flathead are still biting well and luderick are being caught at night on fresh yabbies from the river wall above the gantry.
