This morning a section of the Pacific Highway just north of Coolongolook was covered with floodwater, proving a major hazard for traffic.
The Manning received heavy falls overnight Thursday with 31.4mm recorded at Chatham to 9am Friday.
And more heavy falls are headed our way in what will be a wet weekend. Today Friday we can expect between 20-40mm of rain, tomorrow Saturday between 40-80mm and Sunday, February 21 between 10-20mm.
Temperatures will remain mild.
The sun should return on Monday and the forecast for next week is for cloudy days and some showers.
It's been a wet month, with 232.4mm of rain received to date, and 281.6 for the year so far.
If the heavy falls eventuates, the Manning could set a new record. The wettest February on record is 2009, when 334.8mm of rain was received.
