On Saturday, January 23, a 28-year-old Taree woman attended Taree Police Station and surrendered to police in relation to the incident.
She was charged with aggravated break enter and steal in company. She was refused bail to face Taree Local Court on Monday, January 25.
EARLIER:
A teenager will face Taree Children's Court in March following a break and enter at a Taree gym.
About 1.30am on Tuesday, January 19, a 15-year-old boy and another person smashed a glass window to gain entry to the gym.
Once inside, the duo allegedly ransacked the premises and stole several items before leaving.
These actions were captured on CCTV footage.
Officers attached to Manning Great Lakes Police District were notified later that morning and an investigation began.
On Thursday, January 21, officers attended a Taree address. On arrival, the 15-year-old boy resisted arrest and fled on foot.
After a short pursuit, the boy was arrested and taken to Taree Police Station.
He was charged with aggravated break, enter and steal and resisting police. The boy was granted strict conditional bail ahead of the court appearance.
