Beach patrols
Police have been patrolling local beaches on trail bikes. The patrols are part of operation Summer Safe Northern where police are patrolling areas where local people and tourists are spending time, to ensure their safety and compliance with the current health restrictions.
Ordinarily motorcycles cannot use our beaches, however NSW Police are exempt from this legislation so they can access more remote places including beaches, bushland and National Parks around the Manning/Great Lakes area.
