Stewards received a report from Racing Analytical Services Limited confirming that the prohibited substance Dexamethasone, a short-acting Corticosteroid, was detected in a sample taken from Fox Power.
The blood sample was taken before Fox Power competed in a Wodonga jumpout on October 21 for the purpose of obtaining a permit to start.
The Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory also reported that it had detected Dexamethasone within the reserve portion of the blood sample.
RV stewards initially informed the Ledgers of the irregularity on November 23.
The Ledgers were informed last Wednesday of the confirmatory findings and that stewards are continuing their investigation.
