Lorraine McGrath and Noreida Fotheringham of Wingham branch hand delivered eight knee quilts made by the Wednesday Wonders Timeless Quilters of Port Macquarie.
The Port Macquarie group made the quilts hoping to lift the spirits of communities devastated by bushfire.
They asked the Red Cross to distribute them and it is believed some of the quilts found their way to the small community of Willarwarrin, north west of Kempsey as well as Bobin Public School.
Noreida and Lorraine were quick to volunteer their time to drive to Bobin on behalf of the quilters.
"We said it would give us great pleasure to take them up," Noreida said.
When delivering the quilts the Red Cross ladies ensured the recipients knew the Timeless Quilters had made them with love.
"They just want you to know you haven't been forgotten," Noreida told the school children.
Bobin Public School acting principal Sarah Parker was moved by the wonderful gifts and said the quilts would be given out at the school's presentation night.
"They will be treasured," she said.
Eighteen homes and the school house were destroyed in the Bobin blaze in November 2019.
The generosity and thoughtfulness of the wider community has been lifting local spirits ever since.
