The Manning Valley Concert Band is set to present a rousing and lively concert at the Manning Entertainment Centre on Sunday, December 6 from 2pm. Under the direction of Roger Griffiths, the program for A Celebration of Christmas Concert features many festive favourites including: The Christmas Song, Sleigh Ride and I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas. There may even be a few pieces that you can sing along with. Don't miss the sights and sounds of the festive season, with special guests joining the band including the string section of the Mid North Coast Sinfonia, players from the Hunter Wind Ensemble and Club Taree Community Band. The concert will also showcase a performance by a string quartet from the Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium. Vocalists include Mick Standen, Paul Eade, Sam Stephens, Alice Godfrey, Matt Zarb and Emily Tenerio. The Manning Valley Concert Band is a community ensemble dedicated to bringing a diverse selection of band music to the Manning Valley. The band is comprised of musicians from all walks of life and instils the value that music is a life-long event. New players are always welcome. Mr George Hoad will once again be the Master of Ceremonies, and will also perform during the concert.
