So it's pleasing to see that the MidCoast Council has developed a Biodiversity Framework.
Blessed with the Barrington Tops and Myall Lakes NPs, MidCoast Council has more biodiversity to protect than many other local government areas in Australia.
Given that the Australian Government is currently trying to ram the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Amendment (Streamlining Environmental Approvals) Bill through the parliament, it is heartening and timely that MidCoast Council is on the front foot.
