A strong allround performance by Nathan Ballard with the bat and ball highlight the win.
Ballard captured 2/2 from five overs including three maidens as United bowled Wingham out for a disappointing 89 in 31 overs.
Wingham skipper Beau Reed had earlier elected to bat after winning the toss.
Jade Stace played virtually a lone hand with the bat for Wingham. He contributed 42, smashing five boundaries and two sixes before he was caught by Josh Ferris off Justin Boyd's bowling. Leon Stace with 17 and Daryl Irvine with 12 were the other batsmen to make double figures.
The bowlers shared the wickets with Boyd taking 2/20, Jesse Shelton 2/27, Murray McCartney 2/5 from four.
Ballard's good day continued when he top scored for United in the run chase. He opened the batting and was the second out for 27 with five boundaries. United lost four wickets before overhauling Wingham's tally.
McCartney (20) and Laurie Weeks (10) were at the crease when United hit the winning runs.
United plays Taree West on Saturday with Wingham to meet Gloucester.
