The Longest Day will be held on Monday, December 14 and will see golfers, boasting a variety of skills, tackle a 36, 54 or full 72 hole course.
This will surely test their stamina and endurance while raising funds for Cancer Council NSW.
Economic impacts of COVID-19 have put a strain on Cancer Council NSW for vital cancer research, prevention programs and support services.
Club Taree interim chief executive Paul Allan said the club was happy to support the event.
"We are so happy to be a host club of The Longest Day challenge, promoting the event to our club members and the greater Taree community," Paul said.
"We are grateful to be able to make a positive difference to those in the Manning Valley community who have been affected by cancer."
Lower Mid North Coast Cancer Council community relations coordinator Lauren Fraser thanked the club for getting involved.
"We rely on the generosity of the Manning Valley community to work towards our vision of a cancer free future," Lauren said.
"It is the support of people like those at Club Taree that allow us to continue our work. We're really looking forward to seeing golfers out in force on The Longest Day."
Lauren encouraged all the golfers to keep sun-safe and slip, slop, slap, seek and slide "not only on The Longest Day, but each and every day."
Club Taree is offering complimentary green fees for all The Longest Day golfers.
