The 15s are now unbeaten after two starts. Taree began the season with a win over Port City at Port Macquarie and followed this up by accounting for Macleay Valley Red in the second round at Sawtell.
"It was a tough game but the girls let their footy do the talking,'' a member of the club's coaching staff said.
"Great work from the whole 15s team and another testament to our coaching staff. Rip in this week at training and have fun in round three.''
The under 17s had the bye in the first round and made their competition debut against Sawtell at Sawtell.
This was a tough assignment for the team as they only had 11 players for the game.
"But the resilience of our girls was too much for the Sawtell team with Panthers taking the win 18-16,'' the club spokesman continued.
It was also a successful day for Wingham in the open division.
The Tigers scored seven tries to defeat Kendall 38-18.
Group Three Rugby League chief executive Mal Drury told the Times last week he expected Wingham to be the big improvers in this season's competition, despite the Tigers suffering a heavy defeat against Wauchope in the opening round.
