Last year Jane Rutter and Peter Cousens arrived at the Manning Entertainment Centre in the middle of our bushfires. Many patrons who had bought tickets were unable to attend due to road closures or fire danger, and so they played to a diminished number of concert goers, but certainly gave it their all. They were extremely gracious and very concerned about the welfare of MidCoast residents, and Jane really rose to the occasion by giving individual private Skype lessons to all young students who were unable to attend her masterclass due to the fires.
We're so thrilled to announce that Jane is joining us again - this time accompanied by a classical guitarist and an accordionist, in a wonderful concert featuring the most beautiful Italian music written. Join virtuosi instrumentalists flautist Jane Rutter, and guitarist Giuseppe Zangari with Marcello Maio Accordion/Piano as they celebrate the music of Italy: Tarantellas, Italian Dances, & Songs by Vivaldi, Giuliani, Corelli, Paganini,Caccini, Ennio Morricone (Gabriel's Oboe), Piovanni (from the film La Vita è Bella).
For those of you who booked last time and didn't get to see the show, this is your opportunity to see what you missed, as Jane shares her brilliance on the flute and charms the audience with her marvellous stage presence. For those of you who've never seen her live in concert, you're in for an absolute treat! She is an expert in the French Flute School and is a major influence in classical music. Known for her onstage warmth, she brilliantly conveys passion, sparkling technique and elegance of expression through her beautiful flute playing.
A Fellow of the Australian Institute of Music, Jane is an award-winning TV presenter and multi-ARIA (Australian Grammy) nominee who has appeared as soloist with many orchestras including The Australian Chamber Orchestra, and on the same bill as Pavarotti, Carreras, The Manhattan Transfer, Tina Arena, Tommy Emmanuel, Michael Crawford, Slava & Leonard Grigoryan, Teddy Tahu-Rhodes, Peter Cousens and others. Jane was also recently knighted by France (Chevalier des Arts et Lettres). Share the occasion with us as Jane and her musical colleagues deliver an afternoon of superb entertainment and the finest music from Italy that you've ever heard!
