A man faced Taree Local Court, bail refused, following an alleged violent incident at a Pacific Palms camping ground.

About 11.30pm on Friday, September 25, a man and several friends were in the camping ground and were soon joined by a campers from a nearby site.
A 26-year-old Cooranbong man, who was intoxicated, came from a nearby site and without provocation or warning punched a 26-year-old Manly man in the face numerous times.
This caused a severe laceration above the Manly man's right eyebrow and several facial fractures.
The Cooranbong man left the site and returned to his own campsite.
Officers attached to Manning Great Lakes Police District arrived and spoke to the victim and several witnesses.
Officers then visited the offender's campsite where he was arrested and taken to Forster Police Station.
He was charged with reckless occasion grievous bodily harm.
Meanwhile, there were several stealing incidents in holiday parks in Forster and Tuncurry last weekend.
Stolen items included bicycles, paddleboards, fishing rods and tackle, towels, wallets, handbags, shoes, beer and cigarettes.
These items were unsecured from outside caravans and accommodation.
This was a sad note to start the school holidays but is a timely reminder for holidaymakers to ensure their items are secured.
Also ensure your vehicles are locked and valuable items such as wallets and handbags are removed.
