The November meeting will be held on Sunday, November 22 and the final meeting for 2020 is on December 20, both commencing at 10.30am.
Remembrance Day fundraising
Taree RSL Sub-branch members will be out and about fundraising in the lead-up to this Remembrance Day, November 11.
The sub-branch will have merchandise available at tables at three locations, Victoria Street near Centrepoint Arcade, or alternatively near Spotlight, and in Manning Street near the Reject Shop, from 9am to 1pm, over a series of dates -October 16 and 17, 23 and 24, 30 and 31, and November 6 and 7.
Breakfast at the museum
Cundletown Museum's fundraising breakfasts will continue on the first Sunday of the month.
The barbecue breakfast will be running from 8am to 10am, with the museum opening to visitors at the earlier time of 9am on breakfast Sundays. Admission to the museum will be the usual $5 for adults, free for children
Taree Artists Inc
The next monthly meeting of Taree Arts Inc will be held at Taree Legacy Village on Wednesdya, October 21 at 9.30am.
Manning Valley U3A
Manning Valley University of the Third Age (U3A) will resume courses this month, the first time since late March when courses were suspended due to COVID-19 pandemic and government restrictions.
Many courses will be resuming for current members from Monday, October 19 for an eight-week program and there are even two new courses offered, Yoga and Acrylic Pour Art.
FFF Mid North Coast chapter
Federation of First Fleeters Mid North Coast chapter had a rollup of nine people at Bent on Food at Wingham on Tuesday, September 29. It was a warm pleasant morning in the gardens of the café and it was great to share the events of the pass six months and have a laugh with other members.
The chapter has a morning tea planned at Valley View Farm, at Rainbow Flats off the Lakes Way at 10am Thursday, October 29.
A committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 3 to review the Christmas party
The outdoor venues for morning teas have been small but successful, touching bases with members through these tough times.
Technology in Homes for seniors
The team at MidCoast Assist, a support service of MidCoast Council, is currently rolling out the second phase of its "Technology in Homes" project, providing funding and support for local seniors to become more connected using technology.
Expressions of interest to take part in this phase of the project are currently open and can be made by phoning MidCoast Assist on 1300 65 88 30 before 4pm on Friday, October 30.
