Minister for Regional Transport and Roads Paul Toole said the new free testing sites at Taree, Narrabarba and Forbes provide an easy way for freight workers to be tested for COVID-19.
The Taree testing location will opened last Monday, September 21 and operates between 9am and 3pm, Monday to Friday.
"The freight industry plays a crucial role in making sure essential goods get where they need to go and these extra testing sites build on existing measures to keep freight workers healthy and safe," Mr Toole said.
"After discussions with the industry, we have established pop-up sites at Taree Service Centre, on the Pacific Highway and will shortly be opening new sites around Narrabarba on the Princes Highway south of Eden and near Forbes on the Newell Highway."
