The Taree icon emitted gold light just after sunset to recognise Taree Lifeblood's Plasma Power Week.
Many took the time to snap a photo and admire the oyster, which has largely remained inactive since the early 2000s.
It is now on the site of Mid Coast Automotive Group, which teamed with Cetnaj Taree and the blood bank for the project.
The gold colour was chosen as plasma is considered the 'liquid gold' part of blood.
