Grass will give injured goal keeper Xanthe Parsons every opportunity to take her place. Parsons played last weekend's double header against Merewether United in pain with a back injury and Grass has given her the week off training. She is one of just two goal keepers Mid Coast has across four grades.
"We had four at the start of the year but lost two because of the lockdown,'' Grass said.
Parsons usually plays reserve grade and first grade on the one day and Grass admits he is unsure what he'll do if she is out.
After last weekend's heavy workload of two games in two days, Grass gave his players the night off from training on Tuesday.
Mid Coast roared back into contention for a top four berth with a win and a draw against the erstwhile unbeaten United and are now fifth on the ladder, two points shy of Warners Bay, with two games remaining. Warners Bay play the now third placed Merewether on Sunday.
Sunday's game has been transferred to the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility which has a synthetic surface.
This will be Mid Coast's first game at the regional complex but Grass is confident his players will adapt to the field, which he said should make the pace of the game quicker. He's also confident his players won't be flat after last week's exceptional performances.
"Hopefully we're peaking now, not flattening out,'' he said.
