Did the existing reconstructed intersection of Black Head Road and Lakes Way create discourse between Greater Taree City Council (GTCC) and the NSW Road Authority in it seeking an improved longer term safety outcome than GTCC was prepared to support? I believe it did.

It is good news that a roundabout is now being funded to remedy the demonstrated purpose flawed intersection of Black Head Road and Lakes Way. It seems appropriate a design of a larger roundabout than that on many of our local area roads is also deserving due to its heavy through traffic location.
Seems like another win for the technical abilities and credible forward planning of MidCoast Council (MCC) engineers and staff which has again been supported by the visionary wisdom of MCC.
