Wingham's Maitlan Brown will get the opportunity to make her international cricket debut when Australia plays a ODI and T20 series against New Zealand starting this month.
Brown, 23, an opening bowler, has been named in an 18 strong Australian squad for the six match series to start on September 26.
The T20 games will be played from September 26 to 30 with the ODIs starting on October 3 and finishing on October 7.
All matches will be played at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane.
Brown plays for Melbourne Renegades in the Women's Big Bash League and the ACT Meteors in the Women's National Cricket League.
She has been with the Renegades since the second season of the WBBL.
Brown will be the first Manning cricketer since Johnny Martin to represent Australia at first class level.
Martin played eight test matches for Australia between 1961 and 1967.
