The final championship heat for the season was held at Tarrants at Wallabi Point. The surf was 1 to 2 foot, club secretary Kirby Stanley conceding conditions weren't ideal for open competition, but fun for the grommets. About 40 grommets took part in the day's program.
Four surfers were in contention for the club championship going into the last heat, Oscar Scanes, Brock Monkley, Kai Stanley and Adin Stanley. Scanes was the defending title holder.
Adin Stanley's championship hopes suffered a blow when he was eliminated in the semi-final. Monkley. Scanes and Kai Stanley along with Vincent Primel contested the final.
The championship started in March but was suspended until July following the COVID lockdown.
