Darcy Dufty, 26, of Milligan Street, fronted the Port Macquarie Local Court on September 10.
Dufty appeared via audio visual link from the Goulburn jail.
His representative, Brooke Drinkwater, told the court discussions were ongoing and she would be seeking an adjournment.
"A proposed set of facts have been provided and I need time to discuss this with my client," she told the court.
Magistrate Georgina Darcy formally refused Dufty bail and he remains in custody.
His committal hearing is set down for October 8.
Dufty is one of two Taree men charged over the alleged murder of Beauchamp.
The body of 41-year-old Beauchamp was found alight by Rural Fire Service volunteers in the Yarrat State Forest, just west of Taree on December 27, 2018.
A post mortem examination revealed Mr Beauchamp had been seriously assaulted before his body was taken to the area and set on fire.
Police allege the victim's hands and teeth had been removed before being set alight in an attempt to cover up his murder.
Andrue Maxwell Tisdell, 24, of Wingham Road also remains in custody following his most recent court appearance.
Tisdell has pleaded guilty to the murder of Beauchamp.
He has been remanded to the Sydney Supreme Court on October 2, 2020.
Three other men were charged in relation to the alleged murder of Beauchamp.
Austin Parrish, 20, of Frances Street, has pleaded guilty to concealing a serious indictable offence.
Two other charges, being an accessory after the fact and hindering the discovery of evidence to a serious indictable offence were withdrawn. Parrish remains on bail.
He will be sentenced in the Taree District Court on October 12, 2020.
A fourth man, Michael Bennett, 44, Wynter Street remains on bail.
Bennett is charged with being an accessory after the fact in the alleged murder; cause grievous bodily harm with intent and concealing a serious indictable offence.
Bennett will be sentenced in the Port Macquarie District Court on September 22 before Judge Roy Ellis.
