Federal funding of $326,306 has been invested upgrading the road.
"These Federal funds have been made available under the Roads to Recovery program which is making a significant difference in the ongoing upgrade and maintenance of our local road network," Dr Gillespie said.
"I'd like to thank MidCoast Council for recognising this project as a local priority, given Bulga Road's importance as a local freight and traffic route."
Chamber president Liz Jarvis welcome the upgrades.
"I know these works will make a big difference for Wingham and the villages of the Upper Manning who use this road to access the Wingham town centre," she said.
It's great to see our country roads aren't forgotten. The safety of our residents coming to town and transporting produce is paramount.
"With tourists keen to visit and experience our natural assets like Ellenborough Falls, improvements to the Bulga Road are always welcome," Liz Jarvis concluded.
