This Saturday, August 15 is VP Day (Victory in the Pacific) and the sub-branch will have a presence at the Old Bar Tavern (see below).
Then of course, November 11 is Remembrance Day. The sub-branch is hoping to be able to have a ceremony marking this important day and what form it will take will be decided at the next meeting and of course, may be affected by COVID-19 restrictions.
The Saturday morning meat raffles are continuing with good support, now on the sunny side of the street, outside Old Bar Gourmet Meats, where the prizes are on display.
Two-up at the Tavern
The Old Bar Tavern will be holding a two-up game between 1pm and 4pm this Saturday, August 15. It will be strictly COVID compliant with no one standing - only sitting at tables.
Tables can be five to a maximum of ten and can bet against each other or other tables. Bookings are essential by phoning 6553 7111.
A bucket will go around for donations which will be donated to the Old Bar Beach RSL Sub-Branch..
VP Day (Victory in the Pacific) is one of only a few days of the year that two-up is legal in NSW.
Bingo
Bingo is played at Club Old Bar every Monday.
The lady bowlers voluntarily carry out this activity for the community and the oldies love it as a way of socialising and meeting friends and making new ones.
Eyes down 11am with a lunch break and finish around 2pm. So come along and enjoy socialising, meeting friends, making new ones and having fun. Don't forget your daubers.
