When the high pressure system over southern Australia moves to eastern NSW calmer conditions will prevail.
Not many boats have been out and catches have been limited to a few snapper in the close end grounds to the north.
The rocks are fishing well at present as there are plenty of black drummer to 2.5kgs taking cunjevoi, prawns and bread.
Best catches have come from the northern side of Crowdy Head but the southern side has fished well when the seas allow.
Bream have been bagged from the northern side of the sea wall and the southern end of Crowdy beach.
Small tailor have been caught from near Abbey's Creek.
Fishing has been quiet in the estuary with a few bream and luderick taken at night on live yabbies.
Most of the flathead have gone up-river but they won get far as the Manning at Taree is very dirty due to the runoff from recent rains.
