TAREE Old Bar Rugby League Club's annual 'muster day' set for Saturday August 1 has been cancelled because of the tightening of restrictions at Taree Leagues and Sports Club.

A spokesman for the organisers, Garry Betts, said this after meeting earlier this week with club management.
"It would be just too difficult,'' Mr Betts said.
"The idea for the day is for people to mingle and unfortunately that's just not possible with the current restrictions.''
He added there would be a possibility of former players or supporters travelling to the day from current COVID-19 hot spots.
There has been a 'muster' or reunion on the first Saturday in August for nearly a decade. Mr Betts said it is unlikely the event would be held on another date this year.
"We'll try again next year,'' he said.
