BEAU Harper took line honours in the A-grade time trial section of Manning Cycle Club's Tour of the Manning held at Central Lansdowne.

Harper clocked 29.15.36 for the 21.1km event, edging out Will Pender on 29.51.07. Pender won the criterium section held the previous week. Harper's averaged 43.2km for the journey.
Ivor Thomas was third in 32.17.01, Daniel Crossingham fourth (32.14.07) followed by Cameron Taylor (32.43.26).
Justin Woollard won B-grade in 34.44.85 from Peter McKay on 36.11.81.
Wade Buchanan took out C-grade on 35.29.45 from Leigh Wolfenden on 38.43.91, Terese Ferguson 40.07.45 and Colin Broos 40.21.94.
Ian Budden was the best performer in D-grade in 39.54.23 with Greg Knight second on 41.56.04 while John Climas won E-grade in 43.11.02 from Ashanan McEvoy on 45.19. Belinda Crossingham won F-grade in 54.24.11.
Rain started as the first riders set out and numbers were down due to some juniors being involved in Hunter Junior Tour.
"Despite the wet conditions two riders managed to beat last year's best time of 30:03,'' club secretary Peter McKay reports.
The tour will conclude with a road race on Saturday.
